Treasure Island Adventure – #264

A great trip to the British Virgin Islands to visit all parts of Norman Island, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s book, Treasure Island.  We stopped at the beach bar and restaurant, Pirates Bight.  We also did some snorkeling at the Caves and made an appearance at the Willy T for drinks and a dive off their second story deck.  It’s always a good thing to include a short side trip to nearby island Jost Van Dyke for a trip to the Soggy Dollar Bar.

Corsairs Beach Bar & Restaurant

Virgin Island Powerboat Cruises 262

Our charter boat cruised the British and American Virgin Islands.  We had to dodge a little liquid sunshine but the pictures show how we were able to find sunny spots all over the islands.  We stopped at Corsairs Beach Bar & Restaurant on Jost Van Dyke for some exceptional Bloody Marys .  We also went to Sandy Spit, the quintessential deserted island.  A trip to White Bay took us to the Soggy Dollar and then back to the American side at Cruz Bay on St John.

Cooper Island Beach Club

Charter 261 – Cooper Island Beach Club, The Baths, The Indians

On this charter, we went to Cooper Island Beach Club, a family owned eco – resort on the sandy shores of Manchioneel Bay in the British Virgin Islands. The trip also included a visit to the Baths on the island of Virgin Gorda. The Baths are an area of unique geologic formations and one of the BVI’s major tourist destinations. Also, we took a trip to the Indians, a great area for snorkeling to observer the coral reefs and tropical fish.

These are the moments that make life worth living. Jumping off the legendary floating bar and restaurant - the Willy T.

Charters 260 – Flying, Snorkeling, and Rum

Why are you wasting your time looking at these pictures when you could be here experiencing it for yourself? On this charter we went to Cane Garden Bay in Tortola and then went to the Callwood Distillery.  Also on this trip was a visit to the caves on Norman Island and then to the Willy T anchored nearby for a leap off the second story deck.

Cane Garden Bay, a favorite of sailors, sunbathers, swimmers, water sports enthusiasts, joggers and even horseback riders.

The Caves at Norman Island are ideal for snorkeling, and, if one goes deeply enough into the cliffs, darkness makes the experience like a night dive.

Want to experience a slice of Tortola history dating back as much as possibly 400 years? Then be sure to visit the Callwood Rum Distillery.
